Henrico County Ethics case against 9 high profile attorneys is most bizarre and rare

Bizarre Circumstances Surround Henrico County Ethics Case filed against 9 High Profile Attorneys

An October 6, 2021 complaint filed in the Henrico County Circuit Court (CL21006572) against 9 high profile attorneys in the Richmond area is drawing enormous attention in Virginia's legal community. The current 5 Henrico County Circuit Court Judges have recused themselves from hearing the case. The Supreme Court has assigned Honorable Cheryl V. Higgins, a circuit court judge for the 16th Circuit in Virginia.

The Plaintiff is Nickolas G. Spanos, a 23 year fugitive from justice who has been protected and kept in exile by Henrico County prosecutors and a judge, who refuse to have Spanos extradited. Spanos has 13 pending indictments for conspiracy to distribute 600-kilos of cocaine in the Richmond area for over 10 years.

The 9 high profile attorney Defendants are:
  • Judge Lee A. Harris Jr., Henrico Circuit Court Judge
  • Richard Cullen, McGuireWoods partner
  • Howard Vick, former Henrico Commonwealth Attorney
  • James B. Comey, former FBI Director
  • Shannon Taylor, present Henrico Commonwealth Attorney
  • Michael Feinmel, Henrico Deputy Commonwealth Attorney
  • Manoli Loupassi, former Special Counsel Grand Jury
  • Wade Kizer, former Henrico Commonwealth Attorney
  • Todd Stone, former Henrico Asst. Commonwealth Attorney
Spanos has filed the ethics complaint under Virginia Code § 54.1-3915, which reserves the authority to the courts to discipline  Virginia attorneys practicing law in Virginia, and all Virginia judges who must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.

Spanos asserts that the VSB had no authority to prosecute or discipline attorneys as stated in Virginia Codes passed by the Virginia General Assembly. The VSB only has authority to investigate and report.

The 9 high profile attorneys are accused of violating several federal and state laws which they promoted a "white nationalism doctrine" that established a separate justice system to protect "white affluent middle to upper class professionals" from being prosecuted for violating § 18.2-248, a Class 5 felony possession with intent to distribute a schedule II substance (cocaine), Which for a first offense conviction, the penalty is between 5 and 40 years in prison.

Spanos contends that in 1998 through present date, the 9 attorneys protected high profile white businessmen, attorneys and doctors from prosecution while prosecuting and convicting three men of color for the exact same crime. In Henrico County Circuit Court, prosecution of the exact same felony, depends on your skin color, ethnic race, or social status.

Spanos who represents himself (pro se) faces 6 experienced attorneys who are representing the 9 defendants, yet Spanos appears to have undeniable evidence of white nationalism against the defendants. Spanos's filings has exceeded over 800 pages of argument, while the Defendants filings have not exceeded 100 pages.

Recently, Spanos has filed a Motion to Disqualify the Attorney Generals Office from representing Judge Lee A. Harris, stating conflict of interest. Spanos states that the AG cannot represent Judge Harris while the AG's Office investigates civil rights violations. Spanos has alleged that Judge Lee A. Harris has violated several Constitutional and Civil rights laws.
